A Taste of Cumberland
“Fermentation may have been a greater discovery than fire.”

The Best breweries in Cumberland, Maryland

People who work hard every day to make their customers' lives better and happier
#3 of the List: Corner Tavern and Cafe
Third place went not to the brewery but to the bar in the city center for a) great atmosphere, b) excellent service, and c) an exciting selection of food and drinks, including, of course, beer. There are not many good bars in Cumberland, and this one is one of them, so we felt it was important to mention it in this ranking.

P.S. You should definitely try the Smoked Portabella and brisket burger!
#2 of the List: 1812 Brewery
1812 Brewery
The place is the first and only farm brewery in Allegany County, Maryland. The family-owned and operated craft brewery and brew house are located in a repurposed barn built in 1812. In excess of 2,500 square feet, the two-story barn has been converted into a brewery with vats and tanks in place.
My personal choice is orange beer, with unique citrus notes and orange aftertaste.

...aaaand #1 of the List: Dig Deep Brewing Company, Cumberland
Dig Deep Brewing Company, located in the historic Footer Dye Works Building, was started in Cumberland, Maryland, in 2017. They established this brewery to live out the passion and a motto: Whatever You Dig, Dig Deep!
The guys have done a great job transforming an empty ghost space into a brewery loved by tourists and local craft beer connoisseurs. I am very glad that the city center is gradually acquiring new small businesses and attracting more people. This means that the city is not dying but is reformatting itself from an industrial center of the 19th century with huge plants and factories into a city for everyone - where everyone is both an entrepreneur and a consumer, developing a local community, and these guys are a vivid example of this.
These folks are dividing the 1st place with the previous one, and we become drunk as f* arguing about who is the best. Maybe you can resolve this debate?!
